On October 18, in a ceremony attended by members of Paul's family, his neighbors, and coworkers, the Town of Hempstead added Paul's name to Dogwood Lane.  Also present were: an honor guard, bagpipes, and representatives from the Port Authority Police Department of New Jersey and New York.

As stated by a speaker, in years to come, people driving on to Paul W. Jurgens Lane will ask:  "Who is Paul Jurgens?"  The many people who live on the street and who knew Paul will gladly tell them...
